𝓡𝓲𝓼𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓢𝓽𝓪𝓻!

Caught as a Rufflet in Aspertia City. They met when Nate accidentally caused it to lose its prey while running late for school. After that, the bird held a grudge and would chase him every day he returned home (it didn’t help the bird nested on the only path back to his grandma’s place). Nate finally caught it with the Pokéball his grandmother gave him. They had a rough beginning while getting to know each other, but nowadays they are inseparable.

Born from the egg Nate’s grandmother left as a gift for his tenth birthday. Nate named him after his favourite unovan dish. He’s the biggest reminder that Nate’s grandmother didn’t leave him helpless, becoming his biggest asset while journeying across Unova. A passionate fighter, a glutton and undyingly loyal, has no concept of self-preservation and rarely feels under threat. Though seemingly serious and intimidating on the outside, his heart is as big as its appetite.

She partnered up with Nate since a little mischievous Joltik, and could technically be considered Nate’s first pokémon partner. She took an immediate liking to the boy, joining him in various shenanigans while hiding in his clothes. They met when Nate accidentally saved her from starvation on one occasion. She took a stand against Hawkings more than once, trying to protect Nate, but even with half an advantage, the little spider constantly failed to do so. Charlotte refused to be caught with Nate’s first pokéball, at least until he caught Hawkings first. After he successfully did so, she agreed to join his team.
Charlotte is the mother of all the baby Joltiks that swarm Nate’s place, which he has failed to give in adoption simply because the resemblance to baby Charlotte is too uncanny. He’ll never forget his first Pokémon friend ever.

A gentle stone giant but the fiercest soldier in battle, ready to protect its teammates. Tula saved Nate and his other pokémon from the deserts outside Castelia, and seeing Nate’s dedication to his partners, it decided to join the boy’s team. Tula is usually the one keeping an eye on everyone and has better cooking skills than its trainer. It loves nature and is fond of gardening. An excellent baby pokémon caretaker. Nate ignores how old Tula is, as the pokémon has a strange habit of longingly staring at certain ancient items on the museum’s display. Perhaps a secret longing of a bygone era…

After defeating the White Treehollow and returning to Floccessy town, Nate met a trainer under a long-retired champion’s tutelage. The dragon trainer gifted Nate a Dratiny which was dubbed Gema. She is bold to a fault, friendly and caring, scouting her surroundings to enthusiastically help others. Gema keeps everyone on their toes as a daily routine, often adopting Nate’s new friends and their pokémon as her protégées.

The perfect diving mate. Venture loves exploring the deep seas as much as Nate, although it wasn’t always like that. She was a troublemaker, scaring off pokémon and tourists alike near the beach. Nate struggled to catch her on several occasions, choosing to train it against all odds. Turns out Venture wasn’t a pokémon from the area and was simply lost and scared since its original territory was being destroyed by pollution. After solving the situation, Nate personally trained and rehabilitated her, helping her become a confident explorer of the seas, and eventually joining his team.
